As we mentioned in the above image caption, the Rio fiberglass swimming pool is a perfect blend of compact design & free form shape. This swimming pool will fit in any backyard that has a maximum length of 27′ 4.25″.

We sell a lot of very large and customizable fiberglass shells but we want to make sure that we don’t forget about the little guys in our collection. We have a whopping set of 35 pool shells that measure less than 30′ feet. Because we sell to a large number of home owners across Dallas-Fort Worth & surrounding areas, we come across a large variety of backyard sizes.

Compact Design – Huge Energy Savings!

The Rio fiberglass pool has an overall length of 27′ 4.25″. Pair this with a deep end depth of 5′ 9.5″ and you’ve got a pool that equals 10,000 gallons. For pool nerds that love hydrodynamics a 10,000 gallon pool requires 20.83 gallons per minute for proper water turn over.

If you’re using a Variable Speed Intelliflo pump by Pentair, you would only need to run this pump at or around 30%-50% of it’s maximum RPMs. You can essentially cut your cost of operating your swimming pool by 50%-70% compared to our gunite counterparts.

Using Its Space Wisely

Our Rio fiberglass swimming pool uses its space quite wisely! It’s straight and narrow shape pairs perfectly with a simple set of entry steps. If you desire a dip into it’s conservative deep end of 5′ 9.5″ we invite you to relax on the deep end seat, attached to the left wall.

Aside from that, this is a pretty straight forward fiberglass pool shell. The main idea that we are pushing here is a small, compact shape. This swimming pool is intended to be paired with modern design features, such as a handrail or pool side umbrella. Relax along its curving walls and enjoy it’s simple layout!

Our Premier Gel Coat Finish

Speaking of gel coat finish, we are very proud of our Satin Smooth Gel Coat Finishes by San Juan Pools! Our gel coats ship with a 10-year limited surface warranty. This policy states that

“San Juan warrants its surface finish against staining, discoloration and excessive fading due to defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years from the date of installation, but not gradual and reasonable color and surface degradation caused by exposure to chemicals or the environment.”

If you’re new to the pool industry or doing research for the first time, allow us to catch you up a bit. All swimming pools have a finish that protects the structural framework (in our case – fiberglass) from the swimmer and vice versa. For gunite swimming pools, this “finish” is the plaster.

The Best Warranty Around

For plaster finishes in gunite pools, there is no product warranty. We often refer to this warranty policy as a “tail light warranty.” Essentially your pool plaster is only protected as long as you can see the tail lights from the plaster truck that just completed the install. The moment they are gone, so is your coverage.

In the fiberglass pool world, we operate a little differently. We stand behind our products and our manufacturers stand behind us and their warranty policies. All this to say – if you’re going to make a large investment in your backyard, it only makes sense to go fiberglass. At least that’s the reasoning behind our logic!
