“Ba Bum Bum Bum – Another one hits the dust!” We’ve been a little busy lately! These hot summer months are stubborn and are unwilling to let the Fall weather break in. With school now back in session, we’ve seen a longer swimming pool season than what we are generally used to. From weekend Football games on television, to birthday parties and outdoor cookouts – everyone seems to want to spend their time outdoors cooling off.
For our world of fiberglass swimming pools, that means people are looking to purchase a pool and get it into their backyard – quickly. Our clients understand that our products are installed at lightning speed compared to traditional gunite swimming pools. Rather than the industry average of 3-6 months (gunite), our fiberglass pools and spas can be installed in as little as 4 weeks or less. That means you’ll spend more time enjoying and less time anticipating the fun that you could be having with your family this Fall!
And when these cooler temperatures finally do arrive, we’ve got a large fiberglass spa selection to keep you nice and toasty! Ranging from large flat bottom spas that can fit 4-6 bathers, down to the petite 2 bather spas – we’ve got it all. Lastly, you if you’re looking to purchase a fiberglass pool from us, we can install your fiberglass spa at the same time! Just be sure to let us know which spa you want before we place our order from the pool from San Juan Pools (our manufacturer). For a competitive price, we can create an outdoor oasis that you can enjoy all year long – regardless of the ambient air temperature!

Creating Unique Water Features
Do you have some design options of your own that you want us to consider for your new outdoor living space? Are there some water features, LED lights, Deck Jets or Bubblers that you want to add to your fiberglass swimming pool design? If so, just let us know what your ideas area! We love it when our clients get creative and are open about what they dream for their “dream” backyard!
Our job at Fiberglass Pool Guyz is to help you create the exact living space that you envision for your home. That means that if you want a raised waterfall adjacent to your swimming pool (as seen in our images) – we can make it happen. And if you have any questions about plumbing, outfitting your design with some features or automation packages – just ask us! We are here so you can get all of your questions answered and for us to educate you on the construction process.
Additionally, one thing to always keep in mind is alternative design options, such as an outdoor kitchen or pergola. Often home owners forget that when we install a swimming pool in their backyard that we can create the “entire outdoor living space.” We have access to masons, wood workers, plumbers and electricians. Therefore, if you want a covered outdoor kitchen next to your swimming pool – we can help to make it happen!
Another Benefit of Fiberglass Pools – Easy Chemical Startup
If you’ve browsed our website and are a little familiar with chemical startups for swimming pools – you’ve probably noticed our crystal clear water at each startup. How do we create such a stunning water quality right off the bat and is it safe to swim in? The short answer is, fiberglass swimming pools behave different than gunite swimming pools. Our pools do not require a “cure time” – unlike plaster swimming pools that take 3 weeks of rigorous brushing and fussy chemical maintenance.
Instead, our swimming pools are manufactured by San Juan Pools in a controlled manufacturing facility. All of our shells have a smooth, colored gel coat to provide our riveting colors. Once installed, we simply fill each swimming pool with water and bring our chemical levels us to the appropriate industry standards. We focus simply on Chlorine level, pH, Alkalinity and Calcium. These levels are easy to attain and you can be swimming in a matter of days – not weeks!
The Problem of Gunite (Concrete) Pools
On the flip side, Gunite Pools are a lot fussier than our easy startups. From the point they are filled up, gunite pools need to have their pool plaster rigorous brushed (minimum of 3 times per day). Additionally, the water and the plaster need to reach a state of “equilibrium” and often the water can steal calcium from the plaster surface making it brittle.
You often hear gunite clients talking about issues such as “scale” or “stained” plaster. The main reason for their issues: each pool builder is literally manufacturing their swimming pool right in your backyard. It’s not a controlled environment and lots of things can go wrong.
For these reasons we believe that fiberglass swimming pools are simply built better, installed faster and enjoyed with a higher satisfaction level. Our clients enjoy the benefits of their swimming pools – to swim in and look at. They don’t waste their time with annoying startup procedures. They simply hop in and enjoy it shortly after we install it. Life’s just easier when you purchase a fiberglass swimming pool!
