Isn’t it nice when everything comes together? We certainly think so! Regardless of the project, there are those moments when things are moving quickly, things appears disorganized and you have a hard time visualizing the finished product. As our client, that may experience that perception from time to time. Construction can be a confusing business for those are not used to seeing piles of dirt, excavation equipment, sub-contractor crews and exposed plumbing & steel.
It’s always been said that there are a few moments in life that are substantially more stressful than any other. Those moments are: having a kid, buying a house, building a pool and dealing with in-laws. We strive to make the pool construction process as seamless as possible. In fact, our process requires a fraction of the time allotted to build a concrete (gunite) swimming pool.
That being said, there can be moments when things look disheveled, but at the end we want to reassure you – it will all be okay! As you can see from the images of our recent Lake Michigan installation in Van Alstyne, TX – what once was messy now looks elegant and soothing! Isn’t it amazing the transformation that can take place, provided you have the diligence and perseverance to see the project through? Our client is certainly happy that they took a chance and installed this stunning fiberglass swimming pool in their backyard!
Trust Fiberglass Pool Guyz – We Make It Easy!
Do you find yourself in the same boat as this client? Is there a backyard renovation project that you’ve been sitting on the fence about and you’re afraid to take the leap? You fears could stem from all areas of the construction business. After all, construction is confusing to a lot of people on the outside. Most of that fear stems from cost and lack of trust in the contractor.
We want to reassure you that working with Fiberglass Pool Guyz is much easier than any other contractor you’ve previously worked with! A lot of our easy operation has to do with the type of swimming pools that we are installing. Fiberglass swimming pools are a unique entity and it all has to do with how they are made and shipped to the job site. Because our fiberglass swimming pools and spas are manufactured by San Juan Pools in Lakeland, FL – we know exactly how much each swimming pool cost before it is shipped from the factor.
Additionally, we have installed so many swimming pools that we can easily calculate our delivery & installation cost. Oh, we forgot – our products also cost an arm and a leg less than concrete (gunite) swimming pools. Oh yeah – and they can be installed weeks (if not months) faster than gunite swimming pools!
Fiberglass Swimming Pools are Easier to Maintain
With so many upsides to our product, it’s hard to envision any reason why somebody wouldn’t want to consider a fiberglass swimming pool. One additional reason we may think someone may not consider our product is the lack of familiarity with fiberglass pool products. If that’s the case, let’s settle one thing: fiberglass swimming pools perform the same function as a gunite swimming pool. They hold water for you to enjoy swimming in!
Aside from their basic functionality, fiberglass swimming pools are much smoother to the touch due to their gel coat finish. Additionally, they hold up to wear and tear and are easier to maintain chemically due to their size and gel coat finish. Believe it or not, it’s easier to acquire algae growth in a gunite swimming pool simply because of the rough plaster texture. For algae to grow, it requires an “anchor.” Plaster being a rough surface, provides algae the perfect way to “hang on” and plant its roots.
That being said, our products help to alleviate stress for our clients in three ways:
- They are more affordable: we know our cost up front and you know exactly the shape and dimensions of your swimming pool / spa (that equals greater control for you!)
- They are easier to maintain: chemical maintenance is simpler due to the size of our products (generally smaller than gunite pools) and it’s harder to grow algae on our smooth gel coat finishes
- They are faster to install: generally we can install our products weeks (if not months) faster than gunite pool builders. This get’s you in your pool in time for summer – spend more time enjoying and less time waiting!
The Lake Michigan Project: Phase #2 (Completion)
Alas, we’ve reached our conclusion of the Lake Michigan project in Van Alstyne TX! As you can see from these images, our project has come together nicely! All of the anxiousness that clients generally feel during the construction phase melts away at this point and they feel a rush of excitement and gladness. They’ve made it to the end and they can now enjoy the fruits of their labor.
For this project, our client selected a 360^ concrete deck to place around their new Lake Michigan swimming pool. Not only do they have a stunning swimming pool with surrounding deck – they’ve also added on some nice accessories to complete the outdoor living space. Opposite of the sidewalk leading to the swimming pool, our client selected a raised rock wall with an embedded sheer descent. This is a water feature that they can activate to create a soothing water effect while they’re enjoying the views of their backyard.
Additionally, our client wants to complete the outdoor living space by the addition of a covered outdoor kitchen. In the background, you can see some crews installing a new pergola with a built in outdoor kitchen. This is going to be a great space for our client to enjoy some peace and quiet for both Winter and Summer months! This is truly now an outdoor living space and they’ve got quite the setup to enjoy all year long!
