Installation: The Lake Michigan, Van Alstyne TX (Phase #1)

When a musician writes a new song, does he know the final tune he wants it to sing? When an artist first strikes a tapestry, does he know what the finished piece will look like? Building a fiberglass swimming pool isn’t like writing a song or painting a tapestry. The hands don’t move to create something different than what the mind originally envisioned.

Constructing a fiberglass swimming pool is more comparable to buying a car – you know exactly what you are going to get! That’s the simplicity and beauty of our swimming pools and spas. We know exactly the size, shape and layout of all of our products before they are ever installed into a new backyard. What’s the benefit to our clients? They know exactly what they will receive by purchasing a swimming pool from us! Additionally, there aren’t any surprises because our product is manufactured exactly as we advertise them!

Lastly, this delivers an exceptional cost savings and cost control to our clients. We know exactly how much each swimming pool will cost – providing us with accurate estimates for our projects.

Having been in the industry for a collective 20+ years, we understand the cost associated to each yard of sand, excavator & crane rental as well as personnel for our installation team. Our cost control is unsurpassed and this delivers an exceptional product for a fair market price. What else can you desire from a pool builder other than a fair price and an exceptional product?

The Lake Michigan Project

Although our products aren’t similar to writing a song or painting a tapestry – there is still a lot of imaginative effort that goes into constructing each backyard project. From start to finish, our entire focus is on designing an outdoor living space designed to enhance the lives of our customers. To create such a fantastic outdoor space – we have to ask the right questions:

  • Do you want to add a covered patio?
  • Have you thought about adding a grill? What about a counter top?
  • Would you like to sit next to a fire pit on some patio furniture?
  • Are color changing lights something that you are interested in?
  • What about water features or landscape lighting?

On all projects, our task is simple – we help our clients dream and achieve their dream backyard. For this particular project, our client envisioned a complete outdoor living space. As you can see from the images, this backyard does not have a surrounding fence line. This is considered an open layout so we are taking advantage of creating a 360^ deck for seating and lounging (more to come on that!).

It may look ugly and like “a lot of nothing” – but just sit tight. Next week we will reveal the stunning transformation for this outdoor living space. You won’t believe what you see!

The Lake Michigan Pool Shape

The Lake Michigan is a new pool design offered by San Juan Pools (our manufacturer). It’s so new in fact, that we haven’t even added it to our website yet as a new model (but don’t worry – it’s in works). So what’s new about the Lake Michigan and how does it differ from our other fiberglass pool models?

For starters, the Lake Michigan is classified as a rectangular swimming pool. It utilizes a standard hopper – which is pool talk for a standard deep end. This deep end measures a conservative 5′ 10″ with a 3′ 6″ shallow end. Entering the Lake Michigan is easy and comfortable with it’s corner entry steps. Additionally, once you’ve entered its soothing waters – the Lake Michigan provides each user with a satisfying tanning ledge for relaxing outdoors.

Lastly, the Lake Michigan provides some convenient corner seating on each corner of the 5′ 10″ deep end. This is a great space to converse with friends while staying cool or resting after a swimming session. This swimming pool is a perfect solution for an active family with intermediate swimmers!

The Pool Specs

Along with all of the design features just mentioned, the Lake Michigan is a moderately sized swimming pool that holds just over 10,000 gallons. This swimming pool is large enough to comfortable hold 3-4 swimmers and provides plenty of space for both swimming and relaxation. Along with it’s modest size, this swimming pool provides a modern, rectangular layout – perfect for new home construction.

New to our inventory, the Lake Michigan is a perfect swimming pool option for home owners buying a swimming pool for the first time!
