Well folks, the summer is heating up and people are craving to dip into a crisp, cool swimming pool! As Texas goes, the humidity is near 100% and the air is thick and sticky. What better way is there to cool off than sitting by your own outdoor oasis for hours on end?
If you’re like most Texans – you either find a way to escape to the Florida coast for a summer vacation, or you visit the local swimming pool park with the kids. Either way, the concept is the same – escape to do something fun together and as a family. So what is your way of escaping the norm this summer? Did you ever think that owning a swimming pool might be just the solution that you are looking for?
As we’ve mentioned before, many of our clients are first time swimming pool shoppers. Upon first looking, they aren’t even sure what they are searching for. The concept of owning a swimming pool may seem a little foreign or they have some kind of picture of what they’d like. Upon first glimpsing our massive collection of fiberglass pools and spas – they are often blown away by the selection and have lots of questions! That’s totally understandable so we like to provide as much detail as possible for all of our swimming pool options.
Large Kidney Shaped Fiberglass Swimming Pool
This week, we are emphasizing the Manatee Deep – a huge fiberglass swimming pool with an 8′ Deep End. This noble swimming pool is both large and serene. It provides your guests with lots of deck space and plenty of options for outdoor entertainment. From diving for rings, floating on rafts, turning on some LED lights or cranking up some music – you’re home could be the next way to escape the norm of life!
The Manatee Deep provides a wide swimming basin with a total surface area of 354 SQFT. We consider this as part of our Large Pool classification and recommend this for families with swimmers of intermediate to advanced skill. This can be a fun pool for many swimmers, but as always, adult supervision is highly recommended.
In addition to its large size & deep end, the Manatee Deep provides the user with a conservative Kidney Shaped design. This is a classic shape that provides your backyard with a layout that is familiar to many of us. It is constructed of advanced modern-day materials but provides a classic shape that will never go out of style.
A Huge 8′ Deep End for Diving!
Now if you’re an adventurous spirit and crave some physical activity on a regular basis – you’ll love the Manatee Deep. This is by far one of our deepest fiberglass swimming pools due to it’s huge 8′ deep end.
For the fiberglass pool realm, this depth is pretty amazing and it says a lot about the design and construction of our fiberglass pool shells. Quick bit of information – fiberglass swimming pools are unique because of the thin fiberglass membrane that comprises the pool shell. Typically the thickness of a fiberglass pool can range from .75″ inches to 1.25″ inches.
San Juan Pools (our manufacturer) typically produces fiberglass pools within the range of 1″-1.25″ inches. These fiberglass pools are exceptionally strong and are backed by a Limited Manufacturer Warranty. Therefore, we not only create some strong shells with unique layouts (such as the 8′ deep end of the Manatee Deep) but we also protect our shells with a warranty policy. Try finding that with a gunite pool builder (trust us, you won’t).
The Big Sister for the Manatee Shallow End Pool
Lastly, the Manatee Deep is the big sister for it’s smaller relative – the Manatee Shallow. Laid out in the exact same format, both pools comprise the exact same surface area but different deep end depths. Unlike the Manatee Deep (with an 8′ deep end) the Manatee Shallow only provides the user with a 5′ 10″ deep end.
Therefore, regardless of what depth you are comfortable with – we provide you with a shallow and deep end option. Having options such as this is a unique aspect of our fiberglass swimming pools and one that we are proud to represent for our clients!
