The Waikiki I is a beautiful fiberglass pool shape. Based on a standard rectangular design, we’ve slightly altered the shape to include bowed out walls. In addition, the Waikiki I includes a convenient set of corner entry steps (located in the shallow end).
Rectangular Swimming Pool with Slightly Bowed Walls
Welcome to the Waikiki I; a stunning representation of how beautiful our fiberglass swimming pools can be. Here we see a Waikiki I installed with gorgeous ivory travertine pavers & a zero edge design. We call it a zero edge because the swimming pool is flush with the surrounding deck.
This Waikiki I is also installed with a set of gutter drains that run around the entire perimeter of the pool. This allows the creation of its zero edge design by creating a trough system. Water flows back into the swimming pool via a secondary pump. This is a pretty technical installation but provides a beautiful design.
Getting back to our Waikiki I, this swimming pool is based on a rectangular pool shape. However, San Juan Pools (our manufacturer) has slightly altered this design by bowing the walls slightly outwards. This creates a unique layout that provides the swimmer more space in the middle of the swimming pool.
Corner Entry Steps & “Standard Hopper”
In addition to the standard rectangular layout of the Waikiki I, this swimming pool includes a few other great features. Located in the shallow end is a convenient set of corner entry steps. These steps are beautifully curved and provide a comfortable method of entering and exiting the swimming pool. You are free to enhance this design by adding a deck mounted handrail. Handrails boost the safety and appeal of your corner entry steps.
Secondly, we classify our Waikiki I’s deep end as a Standard Hopper. Hoppers are what the swimming pool industry calls deep ends. In the instance of the Waikiki I, the hopper slopes from the shallow end (one end) to the deep end (on the other). There is no deviation in this slope and this pool reaches a maximum depth of 5′ 7″. This is not a deep end model, and therefore can be a better alternative for families with intermediate swimmers.
8,000 Gallons with Plenty of Swimming Space
To compliment the rectangular pool design, the Waikiki I maximizes its swim space. It’s dimensions include a length of 25′ 11″ and width of 11′ 6″. Although more narrow, it’s length provides a great space for some comfortable lap swimming. This pool has plenty of water for it’s guests with a modest size of 8,000 gallons.
You will be at ease in the Waikiki I and likely be tempted to enjoy some time on a fun pool raft beneath the warm Texas sun. It’s easy to let time pass away in this gorgeous fiberglass swimming pool because of it’s spacious design.
