A Truly Astounding Swimming Pool Design
Dipping our toe in the water, let’s unpack all of the stunning design features that this swimming pool has to offer. For starters, the Caesars Palace is designed with a Mirror-like Layout. What we mean is that the pool is reflected from one end to the other. In our industry, we refer to this type of pool shape as a Roman Layout. It’s built with even and impressive edging to draw the eyes in and create a look that’s unique to this pool alone.
Secondly, the Caesars Palace includes a Standard Hopper layout. In English, this means that it has both a shallow and deep end. Making things comfortable, the Caesars Palace starts with the shallow end on the same side as the radius spa. On the opposite end, we can find the radius tanning ledge with a 5′ 8″ deep end.
Lastly, the Caesars Palace is one of our fiberglass swimming pools that has an attached spa. This is a huge cost savings and prevents our clients from having to purchase a second shell to create an attached hot tub layout. New Pool Installation – Prior to Chemical Startup
In this particular phase of our Caesars Palace installation, we just set the swimming pool, leveled and back-filled. In layman terms, we excavated our swimming pool hole and set our fiberglass pool right into it. Of course, we don’t just want to fill in the sides with dirt so we go about the process of leveling and fill up.
You can see from our photos that we still have some 4″ x 4″ wooden beams stretched between the sides of the Caesars Palace. These are placed during lifting and setting to support our walls prior to filling the pool up with water. Because fiberglass swimming pools are essentially membranes comprised of fiberglass walls, we have to balance the hydro-static pressure between the water and the earth. These beams help to add strength to our walls while we balance out the pressure between the back-fill material and the water.
Lastly, upon initial fill up – all pools look a little ugly and cloudy. After all, there is going to be some construction dust, dirt and debris in the pool (that’s unavoidable). But we’re not finished yet! After the completion of Phase #1, we move onto Chemical Startup and Decking. Here we balance the pool chemistry, apply some revolutionary product to drop the dust out of suspension and literally vacuum it right out of the swimming pool. Once we’re done, you’ll see only a sparkly Caesars Palace that you can’t wait to jump into!
